Celebrating Manulife’s 50-year partnership and new $400,000 pledge to Soldier On

For half a century, Manulife has stood alongside our women and men in uniform, recently pledging $400,000 over four years to Soldier On.

For 50 years Manulife has stood alongside our women and men in uniform through its partnership with Canadian Forces and Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). Over the years, Manulife’s support has extended across CFMWS’s many divisions and areas of work and has become well recognized by the military community.

In 2019, Manulife pledged a donation of $400,000 over four years to Soldier On. The intention behind this pledge was not only to continue to provide crucial support to the ill and injured community as a whole, but also to encourage more women to participate in the program. Their support over the last year helped 1,358 serving and retired members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) find a renewed sense of confidence through the transformative power of sport. Focusing on boosting women’s engagement in the program has led to an increase in women’s participation by 235% from the previous year.

Manulife’s core values of doing the right thing and sharing our humanity led to the desire to engage their employees with the Soldier On community through the virtual edition of Canada Army Run. Team Manulife’s 19 employees walked, ran or rolled in support of the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families, raising over $1,000 with Manulife’s Fundraising Match.

Manulife continues to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to making lives better in our communities. While we celebrate this 50-year partnership and with it an incredible impact on our serving women and men, Veterans, ill and injured, and their families, we look forward to our continued partnership with Manulife.
