Community-Driven Impact

Support Our Troops is incredibly fortunate to be championed by amazing Canadians from coast to coast who engage their communities through fundraising!

The Nijmegen Marches – The Netherlands

Every year, this group of Canadian Armed Forces members walks 160km over four days, raising over $27,000 for the troops! Thank you to the Nijmegen team for going the distance and supporting the Canadian Armed Forces community.

Hockeython – Borden, ON

For the last ten years, CFB Borden has been home to the Hockeython. Local hockey teams come head to head with members of the Canadian Armed Forces for 24 hours of comradery and the love of the game. Last year participants raised $42,000 for Soldier On, a program supporting our troops to overcome permanent physical or mental health injury or illness through physical activity and sport.

Annual Fairways for Heroes Charity Golf Tournament – Milton, ON

We can’t thank the Fairways for Heroes team enough for their commitment and continued championing of the brave women and men who serve our country! For nearly two decades, this group of dedicated volunteers has supported military charities, including Support Our Troops, raising upwards of $350,000.

Freedom Syrup – Hansel, ON

Every March, magic happens in the sugar bush in Hansel, Ontario. Freedom Syrup hosts a dedication ceremony for the 158 Canadian troops who fell in Afghanistan to honour their sacrifice and keep their memory alive. This decade-long tradition has raised $98,000 in support of military members and their families.
