Boomer's Legacy

The goal of Boomer`s legacy is to empower deployed Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members at home and abroad by providing charitable funds that enable them to deliver community‑driven humanitarian assistance and support meaningful, lasting improvements in the lives of people and communities where they serve.

What We Do

Honouring the legacy of Corporal Andrew “Boomer” Eykelenboom, a dedicated CAF medic killed by a suicide bomber in 2006, Boomer’s Legacy empowers CAF members to continue his unwavering commitment to delivering essential humanitarian assistance wherever they serve. The fund supports a wide range of community‑focused projects, from helping schools, orphanages and hospitals to advancing opportunities for women and meeting basic needs, making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of people around the world.

We raise awareness of our military’s efforts on deployed operations around the globe and raise funds for Boomer’s Legacy – money our soldiers can access to further help the people in communities where they serve. We do this by holding fundraising events and by giving presentations to schools and interested groups. Funds raised have been used for basic humanitarian needs, medical care, and education.
