Celebrating 10 Years of the Alberta Support Our Troops License Plate Program
We were thrilled to be at CFB Edmonton to celebrate and recognize the 10 years of achievements of the Support Our Troops Alberta License Plate Program.
The Support Our Troops License Plate Program, administrated by the Ministry of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, is an easy and creative way for Canadians to rally support for our military in an impactful way. The customized plates feature the Support Our Troops signature Yellow Ribbon, which exemplifies the story of Canadians from coast to coast coming together to show their gratitude to our members in uniform.
In fiscal year 2024-2025, 3,112 Albertans purchased a Support Our Troops plate, raising $171,160 for Support Our Troops and Soldier On. Since the Program’s inception, 10 years ago, over 63,000 plates have been sold, and $3.5M been raised to support the military and Veteran community in the province.
